Jitterbit Buys B2B Integration Provider eBridge Connections
eBridge, an integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) company, lets data move between electronic data interchange (EDI), eCommerce, customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) and systems located on-site or off-site.
“Jitterbit’s acquisition of eBridge Connections demonstrates our continued commitment to provide the most advanced API integration platform on the market,” Jitterbit CEO George Gallegos said in the announcement.
Gallegos said that the quantity of clouds and programs needed to operate modern companies keeps expanding sharply and doesn’t show any indications of deceleration. He said that this trend makes integration technologies “crucial.”
The eBridge Connections universal platform works with more than 30 ERP technologies, such as offerings from Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, Sage and Microsoft, with links to online shopping carts and marketplaces, EDI trading partners and CRM applications.
Now, Jitterbit has the capacity to offer more in-depth linkages with ecosystems such as EDI, eCommerce, financial technology, shipping and third-party logistics, CRM and ERP.
“Our combined technology will deliver the next generation of exceptional internal and external 360-degree solutions to ignite business growth for customers and uncover incredible operational efficiencies,” eBridge Connections Founder and CEO Colin Brown said in the announcement.
Boomi is a provider of cloud-based Integration iPaaS. The cash deal is valued at $4 billion and is anticipated to wrap up by this year’s conclusion.
“This proposed transaction positions Boomi for its next phase of growth and is the right move for both companies, our shared customers and partners,” Jeff Clarke, vice chair and chief operating officer of Dell Technologies, said in an announcement earlier in May.
